Have you been waiting patiently for your order for the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang to be fulfilled? Nicely, don’t fret, as Ford officially confirmed that production has commenced at the automaker’s plant in Flat Rock, Michigan.
The Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang was initial revealed at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show when Ford’s Performance brand was having a field day, promising even more intense overall performance than the currently credible and wonderful sixth generation Mustang.
Boasting a flat-plane crank V8 (that’s Ferrari territory) displacing five.2L, it produces none other than 526hp and 429 lb-ft of twist, mated exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and a restricted-slip differential.
Subsequent to the racing-bred V8, the Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang hosts a handful of other efficiency upgrades, all created to make this Pony auto the most capable and track-prepared Ford Mustang ever built.
